Office Wi-Fi will not connect

A quick way to tell whether the problem is one device, the wireless network, or the internet connection.

First, identify the scope

Check whether a second approved device can connect to the same office Wi-Fi. If only your device has trouble, make sure Wi-Fi is enabled, airplane mode is off, and you selected the company network rather than a guest network. If everyone is affected, let your support team know right away.

Safe steps to try

  • Disconnect from the network and reconnect using your usual company credentials. Do not share those credentials with anyone.
  • If your device is connected but websites do not load, try one other trusted site to rule out a single website outage.
  • If your office has both wired and wireless connections, tell support whether a wired computer works. Avoid unplugging shared network equipment unless directed by your IT team.

When to contact Softfusion

Contact the help desk if the connection still fails, several people are affected, or you see a login page you do not recognize. Include your location, the network name, approximate start time, and any error shown on screen. Microsoft's Wi-Fi troubleshooting guide has additional device-specific checks.
